Working Principle
1.To make soft ice cream, you essentially need four main ingredients: milk, sugar, cream, and flavor (e.g., vanilla). These ingredients are mixed together in the specified ratios to form an ice cream mix. The mix is then cooled to a temperature of around 5°C before being poured into the machine.
2.One soft ice cream machine essentially operates on the principle of churning ice cream mix while freezing it at the same time. The machine incorporates a refrigeration system that helps to freeze the mix while it's being churned into a creamy consistency. The machine also includes a mix hopper that is used to hold the ice cream mix, allowing it to be fed into the machine.
3.Once the ice cream mix is poured into the mix hopper, it flows into the freezing cylinder through the mix feed tube. Once inside the freezing cylinder, the mix is continuously churned by a set of blades that are located inside the cylinder. The blades break up any ice crystals that may have formed and mix the ice cream mix together. As the blades turn, the mix is also incorporated with air, creating a light, creamy mixture.
4.As the mix is continuously churned and mixed with air, it starts to freeze. The frozen mixture is then extruded from the freezing cylinder and into a soft serve dispenser. The soft serve dispenser has a capacity of holding several cones of frozen dessert.
